The future of Tennis Brisbane is safe

6th May 2021

The future of Tennis Brisbane is safe, well the health of our players is. After the annoucement that Tennis Brisbane had received $35,000 from the Queensland Governements Gambiling Community Benefit Fund to go towards ensuring a defibrillator is installed in almost all of our Tennis Centres.

After a recent incident at one of our member centres, in which one of the coaches lives was saved thanks to having a defibrillator onsite, Tennis Brisbane worked towards making sure that all centres were in a position to ensure no life was lost because they did not have the necessary support. Thanks to the Queensland Government's grant system, we have now managed to purchase 20 defibrillators to ensure each centre across Tennis Brisbane will now have a defibrillator onsite.

A special thanks must go to the Queensland Governement through the Gambiling Community Benefit Fund, First Aid Accident & Emergency for their support in puchasing and supporting the centres to install the machines and the Tennis Brisbane board for financially supporting the $8K difference to ensure each centre has a machine.
