COVID - 19 UPDATE 25/3/20

Dear Players, I trust everyone is well.In-line with current Government restrictions on physical activity and in collaboration with Tennis Queensland’s return to play roadmap, the TB Board have made the decision to cancel the remainder of Season 1 and look to initiate a new season (as we would normally do) in the first week of Term 3. Currently this sits within the State and Industry guidelines to allow inter club fixtures to resume. If for some reason these guidelines change, a decision will be made with the most up to date information around what to do next. For those that were participating in Season 1, you will receive FREE registration to Season 2. New players will be asked to pay registration. While we have been away we have been working on introducing League Manager as our new Software provider. There are multiple benefits to using leagues manager at this time. The main reason, will be that each player will receive more up to date statistics on their matches, receive a Australian Ranking Number and a UTR ranking. All which will help centres when it comes time for grading. I also note that from S2, we will move to a centralised payment system. This will reduce the use of cash at each centre. This change will mean that each centre will determine how best to charge each player during the season. We trust that everyone has enjoyed their break from Super league and we look forward to welcoming you back in Season 2.Best wishes Warwick Nicol General Manager Tennis Brisbane
